Attention Bay Area DIY Geeks
A super cool event is happening in San Mateo at the San Mateo County Fairgrounds on April 22nd and 23rd: The Maker Faire!
Mike is super jazzed about this event and can't wait to go. I believe he falls under the categories of "tech DIY enthusiast" as well as "spirited mischief maker."
The online program promises lots of interesting things to see and do. I'm excited about the MAKE Fashion Show featuring Diana Eng (from Project Runway) and Emily Albinski; the exhibit of SparkLab DIY wearables (electronic circuitry merged with sewing techniques merged with electronics!); and the Swap-O-Rama-Rama clothes swapping, sewing, and DIY fashion show.
I also am intrigued by the Blogger Dump Tank. The maker, Bruce Gee, promises a Bay Area Blogger might be the lucky one to be dumped. Who will it be?!
If you're local and you want to join us at the faire, let me know. We're going to host a barbeque here at the Eichler before heading over to the fairgrounds.
